Product Quality Assurance

ISO 9001 is a standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system. Our mills have defined specific metrics to continually improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. These goals are set not because our mills are sub-standard, on the contrary, our mills strive to improve effectiveness to stay ahead of global competition. We put customers first, making sure we consistently meet and exceed their needs. Our mills do the same.

ISO 13485 More and more, organizations in the medical devices industry are expected to demonstrate their quality management processes and ensure best practice in everything they do. Monarch Brands has specific medical textile SKUs that are manufactured for clients with unique needs. ISO 13485 certification is mandatory for our clients’ highly sensitive needs.

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) is a best-practices audit methodology.  Using SMETA, a supplier can have one audit conducted and share it with multiple customers, rather than having a different audit conducted for each customer. SMETA methodology uses the Ethical Trade Initiative code and local law as measurement tools across four modules: Health & Safety, Labor Standards, Environmental, and Business Ethics.

CE Marking Products require CE marking before they can be sold in the EEA. CE marking proves that your product has been assessed and meets EU consumer safety, health and environmental protection requirements. To affix the CE marking to our products, mills put together a technical dossier proving that our products fulfils all the EU-wide requirements. As the product’s manufacturer, our mills bear sole responsibility for declaring conformity with all requirements.

Workforce & Environmental Safety

ISO 14001 Focuses on environmental systems certification for customers who require assurance that their textiles are being produced in an environmentally responsible manner. Like all ISO management system standards, ISO 14001 includes the need for continual improvement of an organization’s systems and approach to environmental concerns.

OHSAS 18000 standards provide our mills with the elements of an effective safety management system which can be integrated into daily operations to help the mills achieve better occupational health and safety performance. Successfully implementing OSHAS-18001 has led to less workplace injuries, and better treatment when accidents do occur.

Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI)  BSCI Code draws on important international labor standards protecting workers’ rights such as International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and declarations, the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as well as guidelines for multinational enterprises of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). It sets out 11 core labor rights, which participants and their business partners commit to implementing within their supply chains in a step-by-step development approach.

OEKO-TEX The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a worldwide consistent, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products at all processing levels, as well as accessory materials used. OEKO-TEX certification provides assurance that the textile was produced without harmful chemicals, and is therefore a safer product is. The more intensive the skin contact of a product and the more sensitive the skin, the stricter the human-ecological requirements that need to be complied with.

Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) WRAP’s goal is to make sure that manufacturing facilities operate in a safe, responsible, and ethical way. Through 12 Principles, they promote lawful, humane manufacturing in facilities throughout the world via certification and training programs. Our mills are independently audited to ensure we are in accordance with WRAPs 12 principles.

Global Trade Security

GSV The GSV program is the result of a collaboration between industry thought leaders and decision makers to assure both governments and companies that supply chains operate efficiently and comply with the evolving C-TPAT, the WCO framework and related border security requirements. The alliance unites a seasoned team of customs, in-country field inspectors, and information technology experts with proven business procedures and proprietary technology to collaborate on security issues related to international trade.

Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a voluntary supply-chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) focused on improving the security of private companies’ supply chains with respect to terrorism. Our containers are processed through a seven-point inspection to catch any tampering with the walls, ceiling, floor, doors, and undercarriage. By participating with U.S. customer, we are making a vital contribution to the security of international trade.
